Thank you for visiting my website! I have an extensive background in education and working with students one-on-one. For 15 years, I owned and operated a Sylvan Tutoring Franchise where I regularly met with families to discuss educational goals and detailed plans to improve students’ academics, motivation and self-esteem. I am beyond excited to focus on college admissions coaching and continue pursuing my passion of providing direct help to individual students and their families.

 

Three core beliefs provide the foundation for my approach. First, every student deserves and has an educational path to support future growth and development. Next, college admissions is more than just “getting accepted”; the process involves exploration of personal interests, strengths and motivations, areas of study, and school options to find the right fit. Finally, a student’s college application journey should be exciting, fun and rewarding!

 

Professional development is a regular part of my college admissions coaching practice. I am obtaining my Professional Certificate in College Admissions Counseling from UC Riverside (est. completion Fall ‘24). I personally visit dozens of colleges across the country each year in order to provide first-hand accounts to my students. I am a member of both the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) and the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC). I routinely collaborate with college admissions representatives as well as local networking groups to stay abreast of the latest college admissions trends.

 

I received my Bachelor’s degree from UCLA and Master’s degree from the University of Michigan. Born and raised in the Bay Area, I currently live in Danville. I have lived the college admissions process through the eyes of a parent as well, seeing my children apply to, and gain acceptance from, many wonderful in-state and out-of-state colleges.
